What is head ? ๐Ÿ”—

head is a command-line tool to output the first part of a file.

Usage ๐Ÿ”—

head command outputs the first 10 lines of the text file specified:

head path/to/file

Output the first few lines of a file:

head -n count path/to/file

the flag -n specifies the number of lines to output.

For example:

head -n 18 path/to/file

The above command prints the first 18 lines of the file.
