Recommended Linux Distributions in Brief

ยท 194 words ยท 1 minute read

I tried too many Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Elementary OS, Linux Mint, Manjaro, Clear Linux OS, Endeavor OS, Fedora, Debian, Deepin, Peppermint os, Pop! OS, Parrot OS, Kali linux, Void Linux, Gentoo, MX Linux, Zorin OS and CentOS. I was a distrohopper!

After all those experiments and daily usage of different distros (short for distributions) with different desktop environments and package managers. I come to a point of view.

Ubuntu ๐Ÿ”—

I recommend installing Ubuntu Linux with GNOME desktop environment (the default DE). And enjoy the stability, reliability and productivity.

Pop! OS ๐Ÿ”—

I recommend Pop! OS by system76 for their support, added software for laptops as they have their own laptop hardware which makes their software tested on hardware and optimized for laptops.

Elementary OS ๐Ÿ”—

I recommend Elementary OS because its team focuses on user experience and developer community. Those are the main bottlenecks of the Linux desktop.

I recommend the most reliable and stable distributions for docker and servers. Here you go.

  • Ubuntu server
  • Debian
